LINENWe offer an extensive selection of antique French linen, both plain and monogrammed, comprising double sheets, table cloths, napkins, tea cloths and hemp grain sacks, which have been lovingly cared for and handed down from generation to generation. Linen is a beautiful, highly absorbent and also durable fabric, having at least two to three times the strength of cotton. Not only is the linen fibre strong, it is smooth, making the finished fabric lint free. Fine china, silver and candles are enhanced by the lustre of linen which only gets softer and finer the more it is washed. Linen can be washed at a high temperature making it a very practical fabric for today's home. The fabric is best pressed while damp for optimum results. Our antique linen sheets can, of course, be used to dress a bed, but also make wonderfully stylish table cloths, curtains and blinds. Likewise, beautiful pillows, bolsters and bench seat cushions can be made from our hemp grain sacks and linen for either the home or garden.
